The Athletic Center recently conducted a two week tour of Brazil for Azorcan Global Ltd. in July of 2006. The group was a boys under 16 team from central Alberta in Canada. We were very pleased with the quality of the soccer programs that were arranged for us from clinics with respected coaches and former national team members, to friendly games and the tournament. Brazil offers great variety from beach resorts, to friendly towns in the interior to the amazing city of Rio de Janeiro. It was a great experience for our players and parents to see such a culturally and topographically diverse country.  As a sporting experience our boys got a taste of various forms of soccer and what can be better than being a soccer player in the country that prides itself on being the kings of the “beautiful game.” If you have any questions please call me at 780-906-7110 or e-mail me at paul@azorcan.net  or please visit our website at www-azorcan.net for more information on our company and our programs.

This is to confirm we attended two weeks of training arranged by Kennedy for our U-18 soccer team.  The training was excellent and our Canadian players were very impressed with the dedication and passion displayed by the clinic instructors and players.  We found the clinics very instructional and we learned a lot. All my players would like to come back and some have talked about going for a month. The instructors are passionate love what they are doing and put a lot of preparation and heart into there clinics.  I would recommend these clinics to anyone wanting to experience a top run Program. An excellent experience thank you kindly.

 -  It’s our first time here. We come from New York and are very happy to be here in Poços de Caldas. Congratulations to the city and to the organizers. We’ve had big games and all of them were great, which we already expected. We’ve had the opportunity to play in a big stadium with wonderful environment. It’s a pleasure to be here; we enjoyed great weather this time of year. That’s what we wanted and that’s what we found.

This year I observed some differences, more so during the opening. We saw lots of innovations. The Japanese especially adored the fireworks, the entry style and the samba show. Poços de Caldas is known nationally as a tourist city, with lots of parks where kids can play and have fun. There is also the Cristo, which is the city’s symbol. I recommend Poços de Caldas.

- We are happy to be here today this time of year. It’s a big experience for our young players. We’re getting to know people from different countries, which allow us to acquire cultural knowledge. Traveling across the world and out of England has been an excellent experience. It’s really worth it! We’ve met new people, and since everyone here are receptive and homecoming, the boys are loving it. The greatest experience is being in another country, in a different culture and learning a lot. Since we’re from London (another type of environment) we’re taking advantage not only of the soccer, but also for being in another country, culture, hearing another language. Basically, it’s a great experience.

I would like to say that the games are very well disputed! The boys have the opportunity to play against teams from other countries and with other styles. Our expectations are high. So far we are loving our stay here in Brazil. Poços de Caldas is beautiful and the people are gentle and nice. The transport is excellent, we can buy things we need without hassle and everything is near! The tournament organization is very good and of high quality. We would like to return more times and bring with us more teams from Africa. I recommend you bring your team here too!
